J.P. Specht
Founder & Chief Financial Officer
J.P. Specht is the Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Laser International, which he established in May 1996. With a career in the moving and relocation industry spanning more than four decades, J.P. brings a deep well of knowledge, leadership, and experience to the organization.
J.P.’s journey began in 1978 while attending Purdue University, where he first entered the moving industry. After graduating in 1980, he went on to hold corporate-level roles with some of the most recognized names in the industry, including North American Van Lines, Bekins Van Lines, Allied Van Lines, and Graebel Companies. This extensive background has shaped his strategic approach and commitment to excellence in international relocation.
He is passionate about the ever-changing nature of the business, embracing each day as an opportunity to learn and grow. J.P. especially values working with international clients, gaining insight into their diverse cultures, languages, and life experiences, and guiding them through one of the most important transitions in their lives. Known for his thoughtful and educational approach, J.P. takes pride in helping clients successfully navigate the complexities of international relocation while avoiding common pitfalls.
Outside of work, J.P. enjoys landscape gardening, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and walking. A lifelong achiever, he is an Eagle Scout, former President of his high school student council, Campus Senator at Purdue University, and the founder of Laser International. New Zealand and Australia remain among his most fascinating travel destinations.
